Introduction
We have created this site as a way of bringing together all the the current guidance and information we have to assist people in recruiting, developing and managing their staff. We aim to develop this site further over the next few months including the introduction of a set of staff-related reports which will both support the implementation of policies such as the sickness absence policy but also provide Heads of Academic Schools with information from the HR system to help with the management of fixed-term contracts, probation etc.
We would very much welcome your feedback on the current site and any development you would like us to make here.
If you are looking for general HR information for all staff on leave (academic, study, paternity, maternity, adoption, etc.), flexible working, pay and promotion, please go to the Information for Staff website.

Whilst we already consult with the recognised Trade Unions and members of the Joint Staff Negotiating and Consultation Committee (JSNCC) it is important that members of the Managers’ Forum are also given the opportunity to give feedback on new policies as they are being developed.
With this in mind we have given all members of the Managers’ Forum access to the policy development part of the HR SharePoint site: https://sharepoint.kent.ac.uk/hr/policies-project/Documentation/HR policy drafts for consultation
There are some policies on there already if you’d like to test the site and if you’d like to send feedback to us please email policyfeedback@kent.ac.uk by 5pm on Monday 8 March. Or alternatively feed it back through your designated HR contact.
In future we will use campus-on-line to alert you to new policies as they are added to this site.
If you have any comments about additional policies you think need to be developed then again please let us know.
