DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT STATEMENT
In providing a range of services to students at the University of Kent the
Masters Office takes into account the requirements of the Disability
Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) as amended by the Special Educational Needs and
Disability Act (SENDA) 2001.
Access
- The Masters Office is accessible to wheelchair users.
- Enquiries to the Masters Office may be made by email (L.M.Johnson@kent.ac.uk),
by telephone (3141 add 82 prefix for external calls), in writing or in person.
Aids available for students and staff with disabilities
- A range of auxiliary aids are available when an appropriate period of notice
is given.
Information
- Information will be made available in alternative formats, such as Braille,
large print, audio tape.
- The Master pages on the University website link to sites of particular
relevance to students with disabilities.
- The Disability and Dyslexia Support Service (DDSS) provides
additional support to students at the University.The Masters Offices
provide information about the DDSS on its website and in information files
in each Masters Office.
Feedback
- All students will be encouraged to give feedback on all levels of service
provided. The feedback will enable the Master to develop and improve the
services on offer to students.
