Postgraduate Research Festival 19th June 2012, Woolf College

The 2012 Postgraduate Research Festival, organised jointly by the Graduate Student Association and KU and funded by the Graduate School, is taking place on Tuesday 19th June in Woolf College. Postgraduate students at Kent (taught and research) are invited to present a poster on their area of research and there will be a prize for the best poster in each Faculty. There will be a number of academic talks, information stands and the opportunity to exhibit and look at students' posters. Refreshments will be available. To sign up for a poster presentation please complete the online registration form https://unionkent.wufoo.com/forms/postgraduate-research-festival-2012-signup-form.

Please contact Ros Beeching at graddean@kent.ac.uk for further information.

On 23rd May the Graduate School will be running "Producing an Effective Research Poster" workshops, facilitated by Dr Steven Hutchinson. The workshop is designed for researchers who present research posters at academic conferences and will explore key areas such as content; text, layout and colour; and effective communication of research. Since everyone’s research is different, instead of telling you exactly how to produce a generic poster, this session will look at many examples and help you to find exactly what style and design will work for you.

Book online now at https://bloom.kent.ac.uk.
