Giving to Kent

Thank you

Thank you

My sincerest thanks go to all the alumni, parents, staff, former staff and friends of the University of Kent whose gifts to the University over the past year have enriched the lives of our students.

Professor Dame Julia M Goodfellow, Vice-Chancellor .

Ever since its foundation in 1965, the University of Kent has benefitted from the generosity of thousands of supporters, alumni and friends, who together have built new facilities, supported world-leading research, provided scholarships to gifted students and developed new student services.

In fact, the University was built on philanthropy, with £700,000 - the equivalent of over £10 million today - donated by a group of more than 100 benefactors to help set up the University of Kent. Kent is home to nearly 20,000 students and has a community of over 120,000 alumni today because of their generosity

Each and every gift to the University of Kent has made a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful to all of our supporters for their generosity.

Donor report

In recognition of the generosity of our donors, each year we publish an annual report highlighting the impact of gifts to Kent over the previous 12 months.

This report also contains the names of people who made a gift to the University between 1 August 2011 and 31 July 2012. We are also very grateful to those individuals who have requested anonymity for their donations, to those who have given through payroll giving, and to individuals who have told us that they intend to remember the University in their wills.
