The University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 7NZ, T +44 (0)1227 764000

Music occupies a unique position at the University: hundreds of students and staff, members of the local community, take a direct voluntary part in extra-curricular musical performance and many thousands take an indirect part as audience.
The University is grateful to the Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust for a generous donation enabling us to build a new centre for music performance on the Canterbury campus. This building will transform music making at Kent by providing state-of-the-art facilities.
With funding secured to construct the building we now need to focus on the exciting prospect of making music. Donations could fund:
| £100,000 | A large practice studio |
|---|---|
| £70,000 | A concert grand piano |
| £50,000 | A small practice studio |
| £30,000 | A studio grand piano |
| £5,000 | An upright piano |
| £3,000 | Conductor’s/soloist’s podium |
| £200 | Audience and orchestral seating |
| £100 | Music stands |
