Personal Academic Support System (PASS)

The Personal Academic Support System provides a range of academic advice, support and guidance to students to ensure their success at Kent. Although the specific arrangements for academic advice and support provided by each School will vary, students should be able to consult named officers in the School for all of the following areas:

Students

  • Academic advice, including:
    • module choice and programme structure
    • change of module or programme
    • progression routes
    • further / advanced study

  • Academic support, including:
  • Progression monitoring / reporting, including:
    • records of attendance at formal teaching sessions
    • submission of coursework
    • providing references

In addition, the University provides a range of other professional services that support PASS to meet the diversity of student needs. As the School os often the first point of contact for personal academic support, school officers can refer students as appropriate ot the relevant services. These services include:
