UK/EU student tuition fees 2011/2012

The fees are different depending on whether you applied before, during and after 2006 academic year. Please select the correct tab below for the information that applies to you.

The prices listed here refer to the academic year 2011/12. For more information about our fees for 2012, please see our fees changes for 2012 FAQ.

Applied during or after 2006

2011/2012 Foundation Year (1 Year Duration) £3,375

Students can obtain a Tuition Fee loan to cover the cost then start paying it back when they are earning over £15,000 a year. Any outstanding debt 25 years after graduation will be cleared automatically.

*For 2011/2012 a fee of £1680.00 is charged if you are away from the University studying abroad at another institution** If you are on an industrial placement a fee of £840.00 is charged (commencing your course from 2006/07).

**Tuition fees for the year spent abroad are NOT payable to the University of Kent by Home/EU students who go abroad for a full academic year on a ERASMUS exchange programme, or who divide the year between ERASMUS exchange programmes in two different qualifying countires. Applied before 2006

*For 2010/2011 a fee of £840 is charged if you are away from the University studying abroad** or on a Sandwich placement (commencing your course prior to 2006/07).

Sponsored Students

If your fees are being paid by a sponsor (a private company or other organisation) not parents/relatives or Student Finance England, please print and complete the Payment Sponsor Form and return it to the Income Office with a confirmation letter from your sponsor on company/organisation headed paper

Invoices will be sent out to sponsors and must be paid in full within 30 days. If we invoice your sponsor and they fail to pay your fees within 30 days of receipt of that invoice, the fees will automatically be transferred to your account with the University and you will be held liable for their payment in full. The University will contact you if we encounter problems in recovering money from your sponsor.
