Welcome to the European Office

The European Office team is responsible for several key areas reflecting the University's strong commitment to its links with mainland Europe. These responsibilities include

  • the recruitment of international students from the European Union
  • management of activities under the Erasmus programme
  • admission of Erasmus exchange students
  • advice on European Commission funding initiatives
  • development and management of partnerships and links with other EU Higher Education institutions in accordance with the aims of the University’s Internationalisation Strategy

26/04/11 Celebrate Europe Day with a Pétanque Tournament!
The University of Kent will be celebrating Europe Day on Monday 9th May between 12.00 and 14.00 in the Gulbenkian café bar. There will be a special European menu, live music, a European quiz and a Pétanque Tournament. The tournament will run from 12-2 outside the Gulbenkian. Read more.

The University has strengthened its international links by joining the Santander Group, a European Universities Network comprised of almost 40 members from 16 European countries. Read more.

A new call for proposals has been launched - Erasmus Mundus II 2009-13. This programme is designed to enhance the quality of European HE, promote understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with third countries; and to promote EU as a centre of excellence in learning around the world.
