Giles Lane car park
Friday 25th May - Tuesday 5th June, 2012
From Friday 25th May, approximately 12 streetlights within the main section of Giles Lane car park will be removed.
The lights will be re-instated on Wednesday 6th June, when the car park re-opens.

Kent Union Summer Ball 2012 Car Park Closures
Friday 25th May - Monday 4th June, 2012
Giles Lane Blue Zone and Pay and Display Car Parks - Fully closed from midnight on Friday 25th May and will not reopen until Tuesday 5th June.
We recognise that you may not be able to park in your usual car park but can assure you, that although it states in the regulations that the University does not guarantee a space, there has not yet been a time where space has not been available on the campus. Traffic Regulations will continue to apply.
We ask for your cooperation and understanding to help support this event. If you are not able to find a parking bay in your usual car park please drive to KBS (Pink permit holders) and Parkwood area (All permit holders).
As a department we take all concerns and feedback seriously in respect of parking on the University site.
If you have any comments or suggestions please use the transport feedback, which we may share with Kent Union if it is in relation to this event.
Construction work near Jarman Plaza
Tuesday 8th May - Friday 30th November, 2012
Work will commence on Tuesday 8th May, to construct a new CRIT Building for the school of Architecture, adjacent to the Drama Workshop.
Work is likely to take until November 2012.
During this period, part of the Plaza between Jarman and Marlowe Buildings, will be used as a contractors compound.

Cornwallis South East Lecture Theatre 2 refurbishment works
Tuesday 8th May - Friday 6th July, 2012
From Tuesday 8th May, WWMartin contractors will be refurbishing Lecture Theatre 2 (COLT2) in Cornwallis South East (Octagon).
This work will take approximately 9 weeks. During this period some disruptions are expected.

Cornwallis Quadrangle excavation works - update
Monday 30th April - Friday 8th June, 2012
The excavation works in the Cornwallis Quadrangle are ahead of programme and are now due to commence on Monday 30th April.
This work will take approximately 6 weeks.

District heating buried mains - update
Wednesday 18th April - Friday 21st September, 2012
Further to the site disruption notice, dated 14th February, the works are ahead of programme which is beneficial in terms of minimising excavation works during the summer term.
These disruptive works are essential for replacing the old heating mains installed in the mid 60's.
We are grateful for your support and forbearance during the excavation works, which started in February.

Site compound in Rutherford Car Park
Monday 20th February - Friday 21st September, 2012
On the morning of Monday 20th February, the district heating mains contractor will be erecting a site compound on the south side of Rutherford Car Park and the adjacent grassed area. This will mean that 14 parking bays will be out of use.
From Monday 27th February, deliveries of large loads of pipework will be made.
Work is due to start from Monday 27th February, with extensive excavation works taking place throughout the central campus area.
This work should be completed by the middle of September 2012.
