Keynes C Block - Disruption to hot water supply

On Tuesday 21st May there will disruption to the hot water supply in Keynes C Block, from 08.00 - 10.00 due to essential repairs.

Campus Power Cable Repair Work
Wednesday 15th May - Friday 14th June, 2013
UK power networks will be on site from Wednesday 15th May, to start work on replacing the damaged high voltage cable between Jennison and the Pumping Station at Parkwood.
It is anticipated that the ground work will take around 4 weeks.
Most of the cable trench route is out of the way in the woods, to the left of Parkwood footpath but there are some visible areas.
Inevitably there will be disruptions to foot paths and some car parking bays will need to be temporarily closed whilst the trenches are dug.
Some noise disruptions from heavy machinery is expected.
As part of this replacement it will be necessary to switch off the power to the Jennison building for a short period, whilst will install a generator. A suitable time will be arranged with the occupants of the building prior to commencing work.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused but this cable replacement is absolutely essential to maintain a sound and secure electrical supply to the campus following the recent power problems.

HV Maintenance in Jennison

On Sunday 15th September 2013, UK Power Networks will be carrying out essential maintenance work to the high voltage substation in Jennison.
There will not be any power in the Jennison building between 11:00 - 15:00.

Car Park Changes From 4th January 2013
From Friday 4th January, 2013
From Friday 4th January 2012, the following changes to Giles Lane Visitor car park will take effect:
The old Gulbenkian car park (number 6 on the Transport & Parking map), accessed from Library Road, will become the new 'central' Visitor Pay and Display car park. Note: This car park is for visitor parking only. Staff or Students (including non permit holders) are not entitled to use this car park.
The current Giles Lane Pay & Display car park (number 26, yellow section, on the Transport & Parking map) will become a Pink Zone car park. This means it is only valid for Pink Zone permit holders between 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
There will be no change to the parking conditions in Giles Lane Blue Zone car park.
New direction signs are being installed along Giles Lane, these guide visitors to all Pay and Display car parks.
