As a Single Honours English and American Literature student you are required to take the following:
Compulsory:
Romanticism and Critical Theory (45 credits)
Critical Practice (15 credits)
Optional:
Early Drama (30 credits)
And/Or
Readings in the Twentieth Century (30 credits)

Poetry Theory and Practice (15 credits)

Readings in the Twentieth Century (30 credits)
You need to take 120 credits (90 of which are compulsory to take in English) and the rest can either be taken from the Optional list above or from any other department in the Humanities.

You must also take EITHER:
Early Drama (30 credits)
OR
Romanticism and Critical Theory (45 credits)
OR

You will also be required to take Core modules from your other subject (information for these modules can be found on the relevant departmental website)
You need to take 120 credits per year and in the first year your remaining credits can be taken from any other department in the Humanities.
