Year Abroad Study
elcome to the study abroad pages for the School of English at the University of Kent, UK. These pages are designed primarily to aid students enrolled on our degree programmes in
- English & American Literature with a Year Abroad (EAMLIT-A)
- English, American and Postcolonial Literature with a Year Abroad (EAPCOL-A)
- English & American Literature with Creative Writing with a Year Abroad (EAMLITCW-A)
- assorted Joint Honours with English programmes
If you are a student enrolled in an English degree at UKC and would like to switch to one of the year abroad programmes, you must do so before the end of your first year. We cannot guarantee space on these programmes and please note that admission to a YA programme does not guarantee the year abroad. Contact the English Director of Year Abroad (USA), Henry Claridge or Dr Ariane Mildenberg (Europe) if you want to discuss this further.

You need to fill in and return the YEAR ABROAD FORM to Ariane Mildenberg (A.Mildenberg@kent.ac.uk) for European destinations and Henry Claridge (ghc@kent.ac.uk) for the USA by Monday 29 October 2012. For the list of possible destinations please click here.
