We offer a range of courses within the part-time degree programme which can lead to interim awards of Certificate (Level 1, equating to the first year of a full-time degree) and Diploma (Level 2, equating to the second year of a full-time degree) en route to a Degree (Level 3, equating to the final year of a full-time degree).
Typically, our students study for these awards over six years (two for each stage). We allow great flexibility, so you can study during the daytime or in the evening, or a combination of both, depending on which modules you chose to study. Some students opt to move into full-time study if their circumstances change, while others who begin on a full-time basis may decide to change to part-time. In general terms, whichever mode you select, you can make adjustments at a later date, and you will have the chance to study broadly the same modules whether you are a part-time or a full-time student.
Teaching is within small groups, in seminars or workshops, as well as via lectures (for some courses). This is supplemented by tutorial support from your module teacher. Within the part-time programme, we also offer study skills support - through summer programmes or/and within seminars - and general pastoral support with a Senior Tutor.
