MyFolio

8th June 2011
Held at 14.00 - 16.00 in UELT Seminar Room

In this session, UELT's Curriculum & Educational Development Team will be unveiling MyFolio; the University of Kent's new student-owned e-portfolio and Personal Development Planning (PDP) tool, which will be available to all students from September. Designed to facilitate both 'Independent' and 'Academic-led' PDP (including personal and academic tutorials), support the University's employability strategy and assist staff working with student groups on various aspects of the Employability Points Scheme, every student will be able to create an e-portfolio from September 2011.

MyFolio provides each student with an intuitive web-based tool for planning, reviewing, reflecting upon, recording and presenting their academic, professional/career and personal development. MyFolio is easy to use and provides a flexible environment for material to be published directly to the web.

In this session, we'll be covering the following:

  • An introduction to MyFolio and how it facilitates PDP for your students.
  • An overview of the MyFolio pilot and it's current findings.
  • The project roll-out plan and what this means for you and your students.
  • A brief discussion of what you can expect to see in MyFolio in future.

There will be opportunity to ask questions and discuss the given topics at the end of the session.

The event is open to all staff so please forward this to colleagues that you think it may interest. Please confirm your attendance by emailing cpdbookings@kent.ac.uk.

Refreshments available, so please ensure you book for catering purposes.
