Copyright Guidance

When using copyrighted materials, all staff are reminded that it is important to comply with UK copyright legislation and University of Kent regulations and guidelines.

The University policies and guidelines relating to University, staff, and student copyright can be found in the Policy Statement on Intellectual Property available from the Kent Enterprise website.

Amongst other policies it is important to note that this document clarifies that the University does not claim ownership of scholarly work (Appendix A 5), but does claim ownership over teaching materials (Appendix A 4).
