Congregations

The Congregations team are responsible for the University's degree congregations, held in Canterbury and Rochester cathedrals in July and November each year.

In addition to the graduating students, the Congregations team are responsible for inviting all academic and senior staff as well as the members of Council and Senate, and they make arrangements for the Honorary Graduands and their guests.

The Congregations team are also in charge of looking after all suppliers, such as Ede & Ravenscroft (gown hire), H Tempest Photography, and Campus Clothing (merchandise).  The venue bookings, timings and logistics are also arranged by the team, at locations including Canterbury and Rochester cathedrals, The Rochester Corn Exchange and The King's School Canterbury.

The 13 ceremonies held in July 2011 were attended by 4238 students,14051 families and friends, 454 VIPs and 12 honorary graduates.

Kent degree congregations and awards ceremonies are wonderful occasions for students and their families and friends to celebrate the successful completion of a degree or award.
