Psychotherapy
All members of the teaching group are UKCP or BCP registered psychoanalytic psychotherapists and currently practise in private practice and/or the NHS. Most members of the staff group are located in the psychotherapy group in the Centre for Professional Practice. Some teaching and group staff do not have offices at University of Kent but can be contacted through the psychotherapy group office and Jo Harrison, on 01227 823691.
Georgia Lepper: Group co-ordinator and director of research. Works in the post-Jungian tradition and has been involved in the development of national occupational standards for psychotherapy. Current research focuses on the application of conversation analysis to the understanding of the therapeutic process.
Maureen Shaw: Lecturer in psychotherapy. Interested in the individual in a group setting and in particular interpersonal dynamics. Works in the object relations tradition. Current research focuses on the impact of group work as an intervention in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease.
