Postgraduate

If you have passion and focus / You can achieve anything

Support for postgraduates

The University has a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Our students come from a wide range of countries and backgrounds, which creates a diverse social environment.

As a postgraduate student, you have the support of the Graduate School as well as access to specialised support within your academic school.

Other study support includes the Student Learning Advisory Service, which offers advice on topics such as planning a dissertation, managing your time and making the transition from undergraduate study.

School and college

The Graduate School works in partnership with academic schools to enhance the quality of the postgraduate student experience at Kent and create a vibrant postgraduate community at all our campuses. The Dean of the School is Professor Diane Houston, who is responsible for the strategic development of postgraduate study and research at the University.

Postgraduate college

Named after Virginia Woolf, Kent’s postgraduate-only college has a strong community and provides an instant support network during your studies. All of Kent’s postgraduate students become members of Woolf College, wherever they are based.

The Master of Woolf College works closely with the Dean of the Graduate School and the President of the Graduate School Association to ensure the provision of support and activities for postgraduate students.
