This is a taught programme within the Professional Practice subject area.
This is a flexible, multidisciplinary, postgraduate programme designed to meet the professional needs of healthcare professionals working in the clinical practice areas that include supportive and palliative care, minimally invasive surgery, surgical practice and applied dental professional practice, with more specialist pathways planned for 2013/14.
The individual pathways within the programme provide subject-specific skills and knowledge. Further information on each of the pathways within this programme can be obtained under Programme structure and from the Centre for Professional Practice.
The course includes core modules and compulsory or optional modules specific to each pathway.

The pathways within the programme include a variety of learning activities depending on the modules studied. These include small group work, seminars, one-to-one tutorials, workshops, practical/clinical session and distance learning through the use of the University's Moodle system. Typically, in the final stage of the programme, you will be expected to complete a dissertation of between 10,000 - 12,000 words.
