Pharmacy at Kent was ranked 15th in the UK in the 2010 Complete University Guide and received a rating of 100% for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2007.
Medway School of Pharmacy is one of the few regional schools of pharmacy in the UK, a collaboration between the University of Kent and the University of Greenwich. The impetus for the formation of the Medway School of Pharmacy came from the local community, who recognised the shortage of qualified pharmacists in all branches of the pharmacy profession in Kent.
As a result of work by both universities, supported by a professional liaison group, the School received accreditation from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB), now the General Pharmaceutical Council (GphC), in 2008.
