Research

The focus of the AHRC Research Centre for Law, Gender and Sexuality was to pioneer and facilitate work that analyses, investigates and deepens understanding of the relationship between gender, sexuality and the law. To achieve this, the Centre hosted a programme of research which focused on three research clusters chosen for their capacity to illuminate our primary questions from different perspectives and to reflect the expertise of Centre members: healthcare and bioethics; cultural studies; and governance and regulation. These three research clusters were linked together by the Centre's thematic stream key concepts and methods.

This section of the website provides information on the four primary areas of research:

An emergent area of centre research is also religion & secularism.
