Certificate in Combined Studies (CCS) Modules
As a result of a review of the Centre for Flexible Learning, please read the following information carefully before applying for the CCS programme (offering Higher Education level C modules):
Certificate in Combined Studies 2010/11
- CCS will continue in its present format for the remainder of the 2010/11 academic year.
- Current students can find the letter regarding their future options here and more information on the ccs student pages.
- New students in 2010/11 should note that the current CCS modules can be taken as stand-alone modules but that it will not be possible to build the credits gained towards a Certificate in Combined Studies. You may be able to continue studying part-time through an Academic School but should seek advice before registering for a course.
- CFL aims to conclude discussions with students about their future options for progression or completion up to 31st January 2011.
- From 1st February 2011, the Faculty of Humanities will be responsible for progression and completion issues.

Certificate in Combined Studies HE 2011/12
- The Centre for Flexible Learning will cease to exist on 31st January 2010.
- From 1st February 2011, the CCS programme will no longer be in Keynes College.
- NEW STUDENTS - There will be no new students accepted onto the programme in 2011/12
- CONTINUING STUDENTS - The University will do its best to assist continuing CCS students to complete the full ‘Certificate in Combined Studies (120-credit award) or the University’s ‘60-credit Certificate in Continuing Education’.
- From 1st February 2011, the Faculty of Humanities will be responsible for progression and completion issues.
