Saturday 25th February 2012, at the  University of Kent

Joint Session with the 4th BALEAP ResTes

This is the website for the BALEAP PIM on: ‘Tracking Foundation, Pre-sessional and EAP students’, which will take place on Saturday 25th February 2012, at the  University of Kent. The PIM is hosted by the Centre for English and World Languages.

Delegates will have the added opportunity to participate in sessions of the 4th BALEAP Research Training event on Qualitative Data Analysis in EAP Research which will run parallel to the PIM sessions.

How effective is our contribution to the academic success of Foundation, Pre-sessional and EAP students?

There is widespread interest in discovering to what extent our foundation, pre-sessional and in-sessional EAP programmes enhance the academic performance of international students. This interest extends beyond the bounds of the EAP practitioner into academic departments and the fields of recruitment and marketing.

We welcome delegates from all fields of education who have an interest in tracking the progress of international students in higher education in the UK. You may be academics, tutors, writers, recruitment and international officers or admissions staff,  who have an interesting perspective on the topic of tracking.
