Terms of Reference:

The Committee’s function is to review, acting on behalf of Senate, cases where a student:  has been required to withdraw by their Faculty on academic grounds; refused admission to examinations; wishes to appeal where an appeal against Examiners’ decisions has been rejected.  The Committee’s Standing Orders may be found on the University’s website at:  http://www.kent.ac.uk/uelt/quality/regulations/taught/sarc.html.  In all cases the Committee’s role is to consider only whether the original appeal was considered properly and fairly.
