Issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual/transgender (LGBT) students and graduates may include:
- Your rights. Since 2003 the Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2003/20031661.htm have outlawed discrimination in the workplace on the grounds of sexual orientation; t he Sex Discrimination (Gender Reassignment) Regulations 1999 www.pfc.org.uk/legal/sda-gr.htm amended the Sex Discriination Act 1975 making it unlawful to discriminate on grounds of gender reassignment in employment and vocational training;

- Coming out at work. You may want to think about if and how to come out at work and how high profile you want your sexual orientation to be.

- FuSION www.wmin.ac.uk/page-1805 A very useful equality & diversity site from the University of Westminster with lots of advice and information on choosing employers and making job applications.
- Press for Change www.pfc.org.uk a campaigning and information site for all transsexual and transgendered people in the UK. Includes lots of useful information on employment issues
- Stonewall www.stonewall.org.uk campaigning organisation for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. Includes a section on the Workplace and a student guide to employers.
- Volunqueer http://kairosinsoho.org.uk/volunqueer - Lesbian & Gay Volunteer Bureau with a searchable database of volunteer opportunities in London
- Chances events www.chancesevents.com Short “insight” courses and workshops for students from minority groups interested in a range of career areas where they are currently underrepresented, including investment banking, professional services, City law and the Civil Service. Organise an annual Working OUT careers conference
