CAREERS INFORMATION FOR ART & DESIGN STUDENTS

As you consider your next steps, you may find the following starting points helpful. Those wishing to work in any of the creative fields, where vacancies are rarely advertised, face the challenge of seeking out opportunities, and pursuing them with confidence. Most jobs in the creative fields are gained through networking or speculative applications. A good CV that effectively describes your skills, abilities, talent and experience, together with a portfolio where appropriate, can help to give you confidence, as well as interest potential employers or customers. Check our Applications/Interviews pages for further help with creative CV writing, or talk to the Careers Adviser who regularly visits your college.
