About the University

The University of Kent is the leading academic institution in Kent and is one of the top thirty universities in the UK according to The Guardian 's 2008 Higher Education League Tables . It is based on two main sites, the original campus at Canterbury and the new Medway campus which opened to students in September 2005. University of Kent courses are also available at the University's Associate Colleges in Kent, in Tonbridge and in mainland Europe . The University has over 9000 undergraduate students and over 1500 postgraduate students, plus well over 3000 full and part-time students registered on pre-degree courses such as Access courses, HNDs and Foundation Degrees.

Skills gained through study at Kent:

Many of these degrees, including those in the sciences, include the opportunity to study a foreign language and to spend a year studying at a university in Europe as part of the course: the University of Kent has particularly strong links with universities in France, Germany and Italy. Courses in computing skills are available to students in all subjects, including Humanities.

It would also be helpful if you could send us any hard copy material that you feel might be useful to applicants, so that we can put it in our careers library for reference. This might include recruitment literature, company product information, annual report etc.

Interview and Presentation Facilities:

We can provide rooms for you to interview students on campus free of charge and lecture theatres and seminar rooms are available if you wish to make a presentation on your company to students (there may be a charge for these facilities). Careers & Recruitment Fair

The Fair will take place on 4th November 2010 in Eliot College and will involve employers, professional bodies and educational institutions from a wide range of career areas. It will be open to students of all subjects seeking graduate positions, year-in-industry placements, summer internships, vacation work and further study opportunities. This is our on-line directory of potential recruiters of graduates in Kent. It does not provide information on current vacancies but aims to give an overview of employers in the county who may recruit graduates on occasion. There is no charge for entry in this database.
