| OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS EXPERIENCE | |
| Fluent French and Italian; basic German. Familiar with word processing packages and the Internet. Full driving licence. Food hygiene certificate. |
|
| WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN TO APPLY TO OUR ORGANISATION? | |
| I am attracted to your company because it is a large multinational organisation with a high reputation for the quality of its products as well as for its graduate training scheme. I feel that my love of travel and knowledge of languages make me suitable for a career with you. |
| DESCRIBE THE BENEFITS YOU HAVE GAINED FROM YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE | |
| My work experience has given me a great deal of experience in working with people and working under pressure. In the hotel there were many guests of different nationalities and I was often the only member of staff on duty which meant dealing with all kinds of problems from replacing light bulbs to telephoning for a doctor. I was able to use my languages to deal with many different situations and had to take on a great deal of responsibility at different times. |
PAGE 4
| WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ARE YOUR MAIN STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES? | ||
| My main strength is my international
background and my knowledge of languages. I have lived and worked in three
different European countries and travelled in North America and North Africa.
I am interested in other countries, their people and culture, and take every
possible opportunity to increase my knowledge, which is why I have found
my degree course of great interest. This background means that I
am flexible and adaptable and would be happy to work anywhere in the world.
My weaknesses include lack of relevant experience at management level but I would expect your training scheme to compensate for this very quickly. I learn fast and can sometimes be impatient with others who are slower to pick things up, which can be another weakness. On balance, though, I believe that my strengths outweigh these weaknesses. |
