WORK EXPERIENCE |

| I had a paper round at school and did work experience placements in a firm of solicitors and on the local newspaper. While at college I worked part-time in the local branch of Pasta House, serving at tables and carrying out kitchen duties. During University vacations I was employed on the production line in a factory producing plastic products for the plumbing trade. I also have some experience of telesales, bar work and car repairs.
None of these jobs are really relevant to a career in marketing but they have given me a broad insight into the job market and experience of working with other people as well as independently. This experience also gave me the committment to study hard and to do well in my degree. |

| EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS | |||
| I have played for the badminton teams at school, college and university, captained the college team and and was awarded university Colours last year. I was also the vice-chair of the student council at college which involved liasing between staff and students on issues ranging from accomodation to the curriculum.
I also enjoy swimming, rollerblading and basketball and go to the gym once or twice a week for weight training or circuits. I am a member of several university societies including TUMS (Tyneside University Management Students), the Student Law Society, the Debating Society, the Campus Curry Club and the Serious Drinker's Society. In my free time I like socialising with friends, going to clubs and films and keeping up with current affairs. I also attend meetings of the local Institute of Advanced Motorists and hope to take the Advanced Driving Test at a future date. |

I have therefore selected marketing as a career option as this would allow me to use my enthusiasm for your products to promote them to the motoring press and public. |
