International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia
The University of Kent, like others across the UK sector, has great sympathy for the students from London Metropolitan University (LMU) who have been affected by the UKBA decision to revoke LMUs licence to sponsor visas.
We are committed to assisting these students and LMU through this very difficult time and will, as appropriate, work with the HEFCE-established taskforce to mitigate the impact of this decision on students. We would also suggest to those students who are being proactive in seeking alternative arrangements on an individual basis that they consider applying to Kent through the normal admissions procedure for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
We are proud of our international students and their achievements. We firmly believe that their presence culturally enriches the institution, making the university a better place for all. It is this ethos, combined with the high quality of our academic provision, that makes us attractive to large numbers of very well qualified international students.
The University maintains the most rigorous of administrative standards in its sponsoring of all international student visas.
