An ancient Chinese exercise regime developed to help participants achieve health and vitality. Based on a series of slow rhythmic movements, Tai Chi allows the body to work in harmony using the mind, breathing and balance. With practice you will soon feel the benefits. Tai Chi is the ideal compliment to academic study as it helps focus the mind and combat stress. Suitable for all.

Classes are free to Gold and Silver members and Bronze members pay per person per activity. You can book your class through your online account, or by using the self-service kiosk in the Sports Centre reception. Gold and Silver members can book up to seven days in advance and Bronze members up to three days in advance. Please arrive and book in at least 20 minutes before your class start time. Late entry to classes is not permitted. If you are unable to attend a class, and you booked by phone, you must cancel your booking by emailing sportstudio@kent.ac.uk no later than 30 minutes prior to the class start time. Online bookings must be cancelled online by the member that made the booking. Your membership account will be limited until outstanding fines for each ‘no show’ are paid if this procedure is not followed.

Bronze members pay per person, per activity (Student - £4.10, Staff and Public Junior - £5.10, Alumni and Public Adult - £6.10). Class fees are payable at the Sports Centre reception.
