Kent at Brussels Model EU 2010
Kent at Brussels Model EU 2010 is the first student-run 'Model UN' conference at the Brussels School of International Studies (University of Kent) and will be held on the 26th-28th of March 2010
Our theme being ‘Development and Security’ we are hoping to embark on a 2-day simulation of EU Parliamentary committees regarding pressing issues beyond the borders of the European Union vis-à-vis the globe. We are hoping to provide a weekend of academically stimulating but also fun debate which will give our 'Parliamentarians' the opportunity to understand the workings of the union, and what better place to do it other than in the capital of the European Union itself?
In addition to the conference held on 27th and 28th of March, we offer an additional Pre-program consisting of a workshop (still to be confirmed) and a social event on Friday the 26th. Moreover, our Conference will also give attendees the opportunity to visit one of the institutions if they wish to do so a day before the conference itself commences.
