PhD Student and assistant lecturer Deborah Leveroy has published a chapter in peer-reviewed book Music, other Performing Arts and Dyslexia, published by the British Dyslexia Association. The chapter entitled 'Dyslexia and sight-reading for actors' highlights some of the potential challenges and pitfalls inherent in sight-reading auditions, and provides a practical guide to overcome barriers and succeed at auditions - applicable for all learners.

The book also covers dyslexic-related issues and strategies that can be applied to most areas of the performing arts, with a strong focus on music in Higher Education and instrumental teaching. Additional chapters focus on drawing, dance and reasonable adjustments in drama examinations.
