You are warmly invited to participate in a themed seminar with students from the American University in Cairo (AUC) via video conferencing on Wednesday, 17 October, 4-5:15 (GMT) in the video conference suite in Research and Development Building. This is part of a course titled 'the Dialogue Project' based at the AUC and that aims to provide opportunities for sharing experiences between students from the AUC and their counterparts in universities around the world through a series of themed seminars. The topic of the seminar this coming Wednesday is 'Cross-cultural perceptions and representations'. Specific readings will be circulated in advance, which will form the basis of the discussion.

The following seminar will take place on Wednesday, 21 November, 2:30-3:45 (GMT), under the topic 'the Arab Spring'. Space tbc.

The interdisciplinary seminar is hosted at Kent jointly between the School of Arts, the School of English and the School of Politics and International Relations.

Spaces are very limited, so please write to Nesreen Hussein as soon as possible if you wish to attend. Members of staff are very welcome, but priority will be given to students on a first-come, first-served basis.
