History & Philosophy of Art has wide-ranging library holdings and a large collection of works on photography and contemporary visual communications.  We also have a substantial stock of periodicals, and a slide library with well over 100,000 classified slides covering areas such as garden history and the film still as well as traditional media.

In addition, the Kent Print Collection showcases different styles of European art and printmaking techniques and now includes several hundred museum quality works ranging from the sixteenth century to the present day.  Many of these works are on display in our award-winning Jarman Building on the Canterbury campus.

The Jarman Building also contains the Studio 3 Gallery, our dedicated exhibition space.  Since its opening, Studio has played host to a series of major exhibitions that are open to the public plus annual student shows.
