Film Studies

International

Film Studies students have the chance to participate in a four-year programme in which the third of the four years is spent studying at a foreign university.

Our partners in Europe are the universities of Amsterdam, Berlin, Bologna, Galway, Lausanne and Paris.

Our US partners include University of California (campuses in Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz or San Diego) and Indiana University; in Asia we have an exchange with Hong Kong University.

At our Canterbury campus, Film Studies’ staff bring an international perspective to the School.  Our academic staff have been trained and have taught around the world, including New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, Germany, France, Brazil and Korea.

Postgraduate students can take an MA Film Studies course with a term in Paris and we are also proud to offer an annual scholarship for either of our MA Film programmes to students from Hong Kong, thanks to the Jackie Chan Scholarship.
