Postgraduate studies
Our postgraduate students benefit from our thriving research environment and strong research profile. As one of the two best departments in the country in terms of 'research power' in the national Research Assessment Exercise 2008, we are recognised for the quality of our world leading research.
Distinctive elements of our postgraduate programme and research interests include practice-as-research, European theatre, British theatre history, popular performance and applied theatre. We also encourage students to make use of our close links with theatre companies, venues and other institutions, both locally and internationally.
Our new Jarman Building has a dedicated postgraduate room as well as social spaces and a professional standard studio and workshop facilities. The School hosts a regular programme of seminars, symposia, conferences and other events, which are open to students from all School of Arts disciplines.
