Research ConnectThis session will explore some foundational aspects of movement training for actors that are applicable to various forms of theatre. Some of the elements to be covered include physical flexibility, spatial awareness, creative ways of composing action, and links with vocal work. Practical clothes should be worn for this session.
Frank Camilleri is Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Kent and Artistic Director of Icarus Performance Project. He has been involved in theatre training processes since 1989 and has performed, given workshops, and delivered papers in various European contexts. Camilleri has been published in TDR, Contemporary Theatre Review, New Theatre Quarterly, and Performance Research.
