Drama and Theatre studies at Kent benefit from an international team of staff who come from the UK, France, Australia, South Africa, Greece, Germany, Serbia, Malta, Italy and other countries.
In June 2007, we launched the 'European Theatre Research Network'. This group builds on the department’s combined research expertise in areas as diverse as French and German repertory theatre, Polish theatre, the Commedia dell' Arte, Flemish experimental dance, and Catalan theatre.
We have established contacts with a range of European partners - universities, theatres, institutions, such as the Moscow Arts Theatre School the Grotowski Institute, and the Universities of Ghent, Utrecht, and Munich. Both students are staff take part in regular exchanges and visits with our partners.
Most students can take advantage of year abroad, term abroad or international placements in countries such as Belgium, Netherlands, France, Greece, Germany, Malta and the US.
