BA (Hons) Creative Events (Design & Production)

NEW! Introduction to Creative Events film - here

Carnivals, celebrations, naming and marriage ceremonies, opening events, community celebrations, street arts, living museums, participatory experiences, son et lumière, high-tech product and brand launches, themed parties, high-street happenings, Tate Modern installations, enhanced walks, rites of passage ...

‘Many Events degrees put the emphasis on management, which is, of course, an important aspect of the work. But at Kent, the emphasis is first on creative ideas, on the design of the event, ensuring that it meets the needs of the client, is practical and is as inventive as possible.’

The field of creative events is broad and incredibly exciting. Creative events can energise gatherings, inspire audiences and performers alike and fulfil an increasingly important and wide variety of roles in our culture.

We receive applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds: rather than specifying specific entry subjects, you may come with A levels, Baccalaureates or BTecs in Arts, Sciences or Social Sciences - or a combination of these. We do ask for evidence of an enquiring and creative mind, of dedication and hard work, and an interest in imaginative communication.

We consider all applications equally, regardless of when they are received throughout the year. This is in recognition of the fact that many of our applicants attend arts colleges which often enter the applications round later in the year than other schools and colleges.
