Arts Careers

School of Arts’ programmes combine academic rigour, personal development, life skills and career opportunities.   Our students prepare for the work place through formal placements, professional preparation or assignments that replicate real life career challenges. 

The Independent has written an article on the value of an Arts & Humanities degree at postgraduate level. This includes the wealth of skills and knowledge Arts & Humanities students can bring to the workplace, and why employers are keen to hire them.

According to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the creative industries provide around two million jobs in the UK, in the creative sector itself and in creative roles in other sectors.  Encouragingly, employment in the sector has grown at double the rate of the economy as a whole.
