The School has an emerging but thriving research culture and is building up its postgraduate community. There is a weekly research seminar series centered on research students’ work, together with other research events organized around the CREAte research centre that hosts visiting lecturers and provides excellent research resources.

Staff across the school produce a range of publications in diverse media, from books to films and exhibitions and are involved in a number of group and individual research projects.
We are interested in applications in all areas of architecture and urbanism, history and theory and urban design. PhD by design is one of the innovative features of our MPhil/ PhD programme in architecture.
