The First 500

The First 500 are Kent's first students. They started their studies at what was then the University of Kent at Canterbury in 1965, when the campus had only a handful of buildings and just one college (Eliot).
The First 500 meet for an annual dinner in May, the most recent being in May 2011 at the National Liberal Club hosted by John Platt R65.
A report was prepared to discuss the ways in which the First 500 might be involved in the University's 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2015, one of which was the formation of a First 500 Fund. A donation form has been produced to allow alumni to contribute directly to this Fund. Completed donation forms should be returned to the Development and Alumni Relations Office.
