The Hong Kong Alumni Association hold an annual reception in Hong Kong, attended by University staff including the Vice-Chancellor. All Hong Kong alumni are welcome to attend this event. To ensure that you receive an invitation, please ensure that we have your current email address!

Alumni in Hong Kong gathered at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Happy Valley Racecourse, for the University's first International Open Lecture. The event, hosted by Professor Dame Julia M. Goodfellow, Vice-Chancellor, and the Hong Kong Alumni Association took place on Thursday 25 April 2013. The open lecture was given by Loba van der Bijl, who spoke on 'Lessons from the Financial Crisis'.
On Saturday 17 November 2012 the Hong Kong Alumni Association organised an event at L’Hotel elan in Kwun Tong. Hosted by Alumni Association President Eddy Fong and attended by Kent staff including Professor Alexandra Hughes, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, the event was attended by around 50 alumni and friends of Kent including Sir David Akers-Jones and Dr Kennedy Wong.
During the event, the HK Alumni Association launched its fundraising activities by presenting a cheque for £5,000 to the University, which was received with immense gratitude by Professor Hughes, who thanked the University’s Hong Kong alumni for their longstanding commitment to Kent.
On 22 August 2012 an event was held in Causeway Bay for new graduates of the University, introducing them to the Alumni Association and welcoming them back to Hong Kong. Around 35 alumni attended the event, which was an informal gathering at Hooray Bar and Restaurant.
On 23 April 2012 a reception was held at the Hong Kong Jockey Club for alumni and friends of the University in Hong Kong. Hosted by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Julia M. Goodfellow, and by the Hong Kong Alumni Association, the event was attended by alumni, current exchange students, parents, friends of the University, and also by a number of prospective students.
