Las Acacias 12A
Winner of the Caméra d’Or award at Cannes 2011, Las Acacias is a warm, delicate road movie that marks director Pablo Giorgelli as one of the freshest talents in Latin American cinema.
We follow a long distance lorry driver (German de Silva) who agrees to drive a woman (Hebe Duarte) and her child from Paraguay to Buenos Aires. Subtly and tenderly exploring themes of loss and loneliness, Las acacias grows into a searingly poignant tale about a passing encounter between two strangers and the unlikely bond that grows between them.
