Setting the scene in a contemporary war zone, Ralph Fiennes recruited Barry Ackroyd, the cinematographer behind The Hurt Locker, to create some truly visceral battle sequences which recall that film more than any recent Shakespeare adaptations.
Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient) flexes considerable muscle in his directorial debut Coriolanus, in which he also stars as the warrior whose abrasive pride and love of battle are his political downfall.
