DESCRIPTION:Kent Law School is hosting a number of celebration events from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th June 2012 and is pleased to invite all Law alumni and Friends of the School to join them for what promises to be a truly memorable weekend.\n\nThe main focus of the weekend’s activities will be two parties marking the 40th Anniversary of the Kent Law Clinic. These events will give past and present students and staff, together with all their volunteer lawyers, and clients too, an opportunity to honour the pioneers who initiated the Clinic in 1972, celebrate the achievements of the last twenty years and look forward to the future. A time to bring all of those who have been involved together – it will be a fantastic day!\n\nThe programme for the day is:\n\nSummer Fete (12.00pm-5.00pm): The Kent Law Alumni Fundraising Group is hosting a Summer Fete on Rutherford/Eliot slopes to raise money for the Kent Law Campaign (www.kent.ac.uk/lawcampaign). They would be delighted if you would stop by to have a go on their tombola or coconut shy!\nGarden Party (3.30pm-5.30pm): Taking place in a marquee on the Senate Lawn, the garden party will be the perfect occasion to meet Clinic students past and present and hear about how the Clinic has developed over the last 40 years. \nCelebration Party (7.30pm-12am): This will provide a great opportunity to network with alumni and current students, catch up with friends from the past and talk to Law Clinic staff including John Fitzpatrick, Catherine Carpenter, Adrian Taylor (the Clinic’s first Director) and of course many other lecturers from Kent Law School. There will be live bands, a DJ and a barbecue available. \n\n
