Canterbury accommodation overview
Set in 450 acres of beautiful parkland, the Canterbury campus offers undergraduates and postgraduates:
- over 4,000 bedrooms, most of which have been recently refurbished or are newly built;
- high speed internet connection, plus access to IPTV and Skype in all rooms;
- easy access to the historic city of Canterbury, London and Europe;
- residence costs that are amongst the lowest in the south east of England.
Two types of accommodation are available:
College accommodation
This type of accommodation is available in three of the colleges - Eliot, Rutherford and Keynes - and is offered on a bed and breakfast basis. Rooms have access to small kitchenettes, where snacks and hot drinks can be prepared.
College rooms are available for 31 weeks (excluding the winter and spring vacations).
Self-catering accommodation
Most self-catering accommodation is located at Park Wood, which is a purpose built student village in a parkland setting just a few minutes walk from central campus. Accommodation here is primarily in 5 or 6 bedroomed houses, together with four blocks of flats.
On central campus, self-catering accommodation is available at Tyler Court, Darwin College and Darwin Houses.
Self-catering accommodation is available for 39 weeks (including the winter and spring vacations).
