Widening participation strategy
Background
The first Widening Participation Strategy for the University of Kent at Canterbury (UKC) was produced in October 1999. Since then, there has been a strategy covering 2001-2006, and the current one which will be in place until 2010.
Staff and students at the University have contributed great energy and creativity towards making the University thrive as a large multi-sited entity.
They have shown that the passion that people feel for their subject, be it through learning, teaching or research, now lives within the context of a shared awareness of broad participation and physical location.
